The story of the incredible rescue of a little armadillo
It all started when a tourist, walking through the forest, heard strange sounds. They were barely distinguishable, but something in them made the man stop. After listening, he realized that someone was calling for help.
Following the sounds, he came to a steep section of soil, where he saw a tiny armadillo stuck between the roots of trees. The ground beneath him was crumbling, he was helplessly floundering, trying to get out, but with each movement he only sank deeper into the loose soil.
Every second mattered. If the armadillo continued to struggle alone, the soil could collapse completely, and then he would have no chance.
Without thinking, the tourist took action. He carefully cleared the earth around the baby, but it was too loose. Any sudden movement could ruin everything. The man took out a bottle of water and carefully poured it on the earth so that it became denser, and then began to widen the passage with his hands.
But suddenly the earth under the armadillo’s paws crumbled again! He jerked sharply and found himself even deeper in the trap. The tourist did not give up. He found a small folding knife in his backpack and began to carefully dig from the other side, creating a safe passage. The minutes passed painfully slowly.
And then – the decisive moment! The man put out his palms, and the tiny creature, as if realizing that they wanted to save it, pulled itself up and finally got to the surface.
The armadillo was scared, but unharmed. It froze for a moment, as if comprehending what had happened, and then, feeling free, quickly disappeared into the thick grass.
