On the shore of a warm sea, where the golden sand was caressed by the sun, lived a fluffy ginger cat named Marmalade. He was kind, inquisitive and, like all cats, loved to eat deliciously.
One day, Marmalade went for a walk along the shore, dreaming of finding something interesting. Suddenly, a wave washed a strange object onto the shore – it was a small shark! She looked confused and helpless.
– Oh-oh! What should I do with you? – Marmalade was surprised, carefully poking the shark with his paw.
The shark did not move, only looked at him with fear. The cat thought and decided: since fate brought them together, then he needed to help. He deftly took the shark by the fin and dragged her to his home.
There he filled the bathtub with warm water, carefully washed his new friend and laid her on a soft blanket.
– That’s better, – he purred. – Now you won’t smell like the sea.
But then Marmalade remembered that he had run out of food! He urgently needed to go to the market.
– Sit here, I’ll be quick, – he said to the shark and went shopping.
At the market, the cat chose the most delicious fish delicacies: fresh mackerel, shrimp and some tuna. The sellers already knew him and always left the best pieces.
When he returned home, the shark happily wagged its tail.
– Well, shall we have dinner together? – Marmalade suggested.
They settled down at the table (well, or rather, the cat at the table, and the shark in his bathtub) and happily shared the treat.
That’s how their unusual friendship began. The cat and the shark became inseparable: during the day they walked by the sea, and in the evening they looked at the stars together.
And if someone asked Marmalade why he lived with a shark, he only smiled mysteriously and purred:
