It started as an ordinary fishing trip. Two friends, Alex and Tom, went on a boat deep into the river to enjoy the silence and nature.
The water was muddy, and dense jungle stretched around. They did not suspect that they would witness something that would change their lives.
Alex fixed the camera on the side of the boat to film the fishing process. Tom cast the fishing rod, but a moment later something strange happened – the water a few meters away from them boiled, as if something huge was moving under the surface.
“Did you see it?” Alex asked, peering into the muddy river.
Tom nodded, but only shrugged. Probably a fish or a crocodile. However, the next moment something appeared from the water that made them freeze in horror.
The creature resembled a monkey, but was larger and more sinister. Its long black arms quickly reached for the side of the boat, and its dark, empty eyes stared at the people.
Water dripped from its thick fur, and hoarse sounds resembling a mixture of growling and gurgling came from its throat.
“WHAT THE…?!” Tom screamed, jumping back.
The creature grabbed the edge of the boat and reached for them. Alex grabbed the oars in a panic, trying to push it away, but the monster was stronger. The boat began to rock, water splashing over their feet.
“We need to go!” Alex screamed, desperately hitting the creature’s hand with the oar.
After a few blows, the mysterious creature let out a terrible screech, released the boat and disappeared under the water. The waves parted to the sides, and the water became still again. The friends breathed heavily, realizing what had just happened.
“Did you get everything off?” — Tom finally asked, looking at the camera.
Alex silently took the device, his hands shaking. The recording was going on… They had just captured something that perhaps no one had ever seen before.
The video later went viral, causing millions of views and thousands of theories. Some thought it was a mutant, some thought it was an unknown species of monkey, and some claimed it was just a prank.
But Alex and Tom knew one thing — it was real. And who knows where that monster is hiding now?
